Enjoy Design were appointed as Architects to take the scheme from RIBA Stage 2 through to completion. Working with the Luminate Education Group, Main Contractor Willmott Dixon Construction and other key stakeholders, the brief is to deliver an inspirational 6th Form College building organised around a central atrium and external green spaces. The college will become a centre of academic excellence providing students with a high-quality learning space which will contribute to enhancing the wellbeing of users, achieve inclusivity and embrace green building principles.
Located on an extremely challenging site where there are both an existing secondary school and a densely populated residential area in close proximity, Enjoy Design have worked closely with the Client and the College themselves to design a highly functioning building for up to 600 students which provides 26 classrooms, laboratory spaces, counselling rooms, a library and a multi-purpose hall.
