Enjoy Design was invited by the Wykeland Group to tender for the proposed C4DI Innovation Centre at Hull.
The development proposals include an 18,000sqft digital innovation hub building and 70,000sqft of office. The scheme also includes the reuse of the historic dry dock for an outside public amphitheatre and performance space.
The energy conscious design combines photovoltaic panels on south facing pitched roofs, passive ventilation techniques, a central biomass boiler and external lighting powered by small wind turbines. The dry dock utilises reed bed sustainable drainage whilst wild flower terraces provides an attractive backdrop to the public space.
