Conceived as a revenue generating development to allow on-going maintenance of the Grade 1 listed Church of St. Peter's (now Leeds Minster) this development provides 37 residential units, 4,000ft² commercial and church office accommodation within new build and refurbished buildings to the south of the church. Phase 1 has been re-worked from its original approval by Enjoy to create 16 high quality 1, 2 and 3 bed apartments of generous proportions maximising daylight and in turn views of the Minster and The Calls conservation area.
Adaption and extension of St. Peter's Hall and House will create a series of modern interventions within The Calls frontage leaving the existing building facades complementing the churchyard to the rear. Enclosure of this space by the new buildings contributes towards the ultimate aim of a complete ‘Cathedral close’ around the churchyard.
