Sheaf Street is a striking £38m landmark building on the site of the existing Sheffield Hallam’s University Student Union for CTP St James. The two separate forms of the office and hotel are delicately joined together by a full height glazed atrium. The terraced massing of the office building steps away from Sheaf Square whist the copper mesh screen of the hotel creates a shimmering backdrop to the public square. This mixed use project designed by an Enjoy Partner whilst at Aedas Architects, provides 90,000 ft of office accommodation together with a 181-bed, four-star hotel with leisure facilities. The massing of the office building is designed to enhance the setting of the historic Listed building on Howard Street.
"This prominent composition of contrasting geometries will provide an eye-catching and dynamic point of reference on the approach to Sheaf Square."
